Breathwork
Effective March 29, 2026
The short version: Breathwork keeps everything on your device. It does not track you and does not send your data to us or anyone else.
Breathwork is developed and published by SY Innovations Pty Ltd, an Australian company. This policy describes how we handle data in connection with the Breathwork app for iOS.
Breathwork is built around a simple principle: your practice is yours. The app does not collect your name, email address, location, device identifiers, or any usage analytics. There are no third-party tracking libraries, no advertising SDKs, and no crash reporting services in the app.
The only data Breathwork touches is the data you explicitly choose to share with Apple Health:
This integration requires your explicit permission via iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Health. You can revoke access at any time.
Breathwork integrates with HealthKit solely to record and retrieve your breathing sessions. Health data is never used for advertising, never shared with data brokers, and never disclosed to any third party for any purpose. It is used only to provide the features you see in the app.
We do not sell, rent, share, or otherwise disclose your data to any third party. We do not have your data.
Session logs and streak data are stored locally on your device. This data may sync to your personal iCloud account via CloudKit if you have iCloud enabled, but it remains within your Apple account and is never accessible to us.
The Now feature uses Apple Intelligence to generate breathing sessions tailored to how you are feeling. All inference runs entirely on your device using Apple's Foundation Models framework. Breathwork does not transmit any conversation data to any server. AI conversations are held in memory only and are not stored after your session ends.
To delete your session data, you can:
We have no server-side data to delete on your behalf.
If you are located in the European Economic Area, our legal basis for processing health data through HealthKit is your explicit consent, granted when you approve HealthKit access in iOS Settings. You have the right to access, correct, or request erasure of any personal data we hold about you. Given the on-device architecture described above, we hold no personal data on our servers. You may contact us at any time to confirm this or to exercise any of these rights.
Breathwork is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone in that age group.
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we will update the effective date above. We will not quietly expand data collection.
This policy is governed by the laws of South Australia, Australia, and the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
